Better than taxidermy, this is one of Snidely's latest Saltwater Fish Creations from his studio. This is a custom wood carvings of a Red Snapper created out of reclaimed Premium Laurel Oak,Wood. Hand Carved and created with the most life-like features using a frozen Red Snapper caught from the waters off Port Canaveral Florida as a model. We add Createx Acrylic Paint into the two part epoxy resin to color the fish and make it look wet without covering any of the beautiful wood grain. No other wood fish carver does it like I do. We just created a new method for making a realistic scale effect which makes this fish look exactly like the real thing. You deserve this one of a kind Snapper Fish Mount. This is my first stab at a red snapper and my first fish from this species of wood and my first fish using the self created scale process. This fish carving measures 33 inches long, 17 and a half inches high and 3.5 inches thick. The fish weighs 15 pounds.
